Error guide
Code overview
Quick answer — E7 on an Asko washer is a draining error. The WM85.1 manual lists drain checks to make before pressing Start again.
E7 is a draining error: the washer reports that water draining failed.
Model note: ASKO reuses codes across series and model years, so E7 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm against your model’s documentation and record the full model number before acting.
- Error code: E7
- Appliance: Washer
When an Asko washer shows E7, the display is reporting a draining error: the water did not drain. The WM85.1 instructions for use list it as “E7 Draining Error”.
What the manual says to check
- Is the pump filter clean?
- Is the drain hose clogged?
- Is the drain clogged?
- Is the drain hose fitted at the right height? The manual sends you to its drain hose installation chapter.
After these checks, press the Start button again. If E7 appears once more, the manual says to call a service technician.
WM76S and WM76-86 series manuals
The manuals for these models describe E7 in much the same way and add two points: whether too much detergent was used, because a larger amount of foam may form in the drum, and whether objects or debris are sitting in the filter housing and rotor. The drain hose should be placed below the maximum and above the minimum height, and the next step is the Exit button.
